Hello, I’m K. Duval, a mixed-media artist exploring texture, humour, and the beautifully unconventional.

K. Duval is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist working across painting, drawing, textiles, and mixed-media assemblage.

Her work ranges from detailed, labour-intensive patterns to colourful, textured abstracts to eccentric, character-driven illustrations. Her cartoon work leans into a dark, offbeat humour, embracing distortion, exaggeration, and the imperfect. In contrast, her abstract pieces are vibrant and colourful, often incorporating layered wax, found objects, and even the frame itself as part of the artwork. Influenced by her young daughter, K.’s work has also recently expanded to include playful, child-inspired pieces.
